Friday Feb 10...insert eye roll here

Now....I don't know how I keep falling off the wagon.  Things just get busy and I just get distracted....OH LOOK A SQUIRREL!!!!!!  Annnnddd.......I hope I can strive to do better.  In the meantime, here's Friday Feb 10!  Okay, don't roll your eyes at me!  In my defence, I did re-wear this outfit a second time last week cause I was going to post and be all "look how to date I am on my blog!" and then I accidentally forgot.

Okay so my favorite Lena Quist pleather pants...I've been trying not to wear them too much because I can't buy them anymore and if they wear out, I will DIE.  Le Chateau hand me down sweater in brown!  Really stepping outside of my comfort zone with that one!  Thanks, I knew you'd be proud.

Zeeeeee boots.....heels even!  At work!  GASP!  Yup, I'm multi-talented!  And just like, limp home at the end of the day...it's okay....fashion before comfort right?

Big bangley earrings.  These suckas fly around and are just the right weight.  They're like a copper brown with a hammered finish in black.

Okay....so as I've mentioned before....I've been working out.  My goal was to get a big booty shelf butt, but I don't think it's working yet.  *sigh*  Maybe one day......I just want some junk in the ol'trunk ya know??

Saturday Jan 28 and my mom bought me a present!

My parents recently went on a trip to a few different places and ended in Vancouver.  My mom texted me from the mall where she had found a little kiosk that sells socks and leggings and fun stuff like that!  So knowing my obsession with those items, she brought me back a little present!!  These leggings were from her and they're super cute! 

Yay leggings!  And look, they have colour to them!!!  I also have some cute mary jane type shoes with a heel that I thought would go well with these!

So I did long black tank dress with my sheer blouse over top.  I felt like I should have gotten more creative with them but it was Saturday, which is the end of my week and I just was having troubles being creative!!

The long tank dress...which is just a tank that happens to come down to my knees cause I'm soooooo amazingly tall.

I also wasn't really feeling the boots.....but this is what I came out to my car looking like after work that day so Mary Janes weren't really an option......

Gross right?



One LBD, Two ways!

*sigh* I wore a dress twice this week....AND I wore a skirt.....AND I only wore leggings once.  And how many pictures did I get this week?  Not many.  Somehow work was a gong show and I missed a pic of the second dress and the skirt.  And for that, I'm sorry.  So today I give you.....drumroooolllll......one LBD, two ways!!!  I bought a new LBD at Bia Boro (swooooon I know) for my xmas party this year.  Then new years rolls around and I have nothing to wear and decide to wear the same dress (GASP) twice within a couple weeks of each other!  But I tried to change it up as much as I could.  Now originally I had no intentions of doing a posting like this so the pics I have of both dresses are not amazing, so let's all use our little active imaginations and just stay with me.  So here we have the LBD for my Xmas party.....we did spray tans that week and so I wanted to show off as much of my tannnnnnned skin as possible.

So when I first brought this dress home my mom exclaimed "OH good!  That will go under everything!!" assuming it was a slip. Ha!  Thanks mom!  Here's a close up of the shoes, cause that's the important difference in my two ways to wear this LBD.

Cute right?  They make me real nice and tall!  Well, tall for me....ha!

So then....New Years Eve.  Gill suggests going more rock and roll....so this is what I come up with!  I don't have a full head to toe shot but I have one that's close....

So I added some different jewellery, a leather cuff bracelet, some thigh high black socks, a vintage velvet jacket (used to be my dads when I was a babe!) and my newest obsession ankle boots.

These are what's at the end of those thigh high socks!  As for jewellery, I'm wearing my Stella&Dot mixed chain necklace and earrings....a better pic here...

I'm also in the midst of pouring rye and gingers at 2:30am so I guess it's safe to say a good time was had by all!

Wednesday Jan 25...what's old is new!

And it's Wednesday Jan 25th already!!  I'm re-wearing some old favourites.  Mainly cause I was completely incapable of dressing myself today so I texted Gillian and she picked my clothes. Thank goddess for friends!

Here's Gill making sure I get a good pic of her outfit choice!  This is her favourite flowey black top of mine but today I decided to jazz it up with a belt for something different.

And the pleather leggings.  I honestly haven't been wearing leggings much.  I'm trying to break the habit!!  But every once in a while....they gotta come out!

So it's hard to see....but I'm wearing little round toe ankle boots with a chunky, cowboy boot style heel.  Also, legwarmers  Mostly cause my ankles are sooooo scrawny that they look silly in ankle boots!

The bling bling.  My favourite earrings....I try and wear others, but these ones work with EVERYTHING.

Tuesday Jan 24th BIG GIRL DRESS DAY!

I adore Bia Boro!  They basically own my soul....well a piece of it right after red wine, my husband, my kids and a good old fashioned dance party.  Wait....and after Halloween.  Okay so they're in line for a piece of my soul but I love them none the less!  Before Christmas I went in looking for a dress for my xmas party and wouldn't you know it!  I walked away with two amazing dresses!!!  This one I thought would be good for a dinner our or work so it was a win win!

So the dress is like a velour type fabric with raised parts and flat parts and texture galore!!  It's amazing!  Fitted and just the right length on sleeves and hem!

It has a zipper running allllllllllll the way down the back, which you can't really see but the dress is very slightly ruched (spelling?) up to the zipper down the back.  I have to be careful around Gillian at work though because she threatens to unzip me one day. 

And all my leggings are in the wash so it's thigh high socks for me!  Saucy!

This dress makes me feel totally put together, professional yet amazingly sexy.  A friend came in and exclaimed "You look hot!  You don't even look like you have like seven kids!" which to me is the ultimate!  Do you have a dress that makes you feel this way??

Sunday Jan 22 and I actually got dressed!

I usually don't post on the weekends....or at least on days that I don't work.  Mostly because those days involve me wearing pj's all day, or clothes of Barry's.  But today we actually got up and dressed so I thought I'd show you what a Sunday looks like for me!  Usually the theme is comfort!  Today we also went out for a walk in the snow first thing so I needed something I could put layers over and walk through snow banks pushing a baby stroller! 

Brown wrap sweater, my fav floral leggings, socks and leg warmers (I had big boots on too).

Friday Jan 20th...hanging out between awkward and tits, not a good look.

Hey quick!  Look over there!!!!!!!!

It's Friday January 20th.  What?  Over there?  Oh, yeah, nothing really....I was just trying to distract you from the fact that I already missed Thursday this week and it's my first week back to posting.  Sigh.  One day I'm gonna be sooooo organized, just you wait!!!

So Friday!  Today I'm wearing....da da da daaaaaaa.....a dress!  The love of my life bought it for me for xmas....and now you're all thinking "waaaiiittt a minute.  How the hell does wine buy someone a dress?" and I'm sorry for this confusion, but sometimes when wine's not looking, I also give that title to my husband!

Don't mind my face.  This whole head in the shot is new fo rme....one day i'll get a real camera and hopefully won't look so odd.

So the dress came with the teeeeeeeeeeeny little rope type belt....which I don't mind, but the waist on the dress is realllllly high, even for my short stumpy body and it left the belt in the middle of awkward and tits so I swapped it out for a bigger one.  Which also works good cause the skirt is a bit see thru and you could see where my leggings were around my waist.

So....you can't really tell here but the skirt has a metallic fleck to it as well.  The strange things around my arms is a shrug that I wore for the day cause I'm always cold.....cold blood, cold hearted, cold nosed and all.

Oh my favourite Browns boots are looking sad.  So boots and socks up and over the knee.  I'm still obsessed with knee high socks or thigh high socks.  I think it's back to that cold thing!

And the earrings.  I was told these were picked ESPECIALLY for the dress, to mimic the dark lines through the skirt.  If you EVER need someone to help you put together an outfit, go see Joni at JJ's.  Honest.  She's amazing.  Every Christmas she makes all our husbands look like amazing fashion gurus when we open up our presents....and usually the presents are perfectly wrapped AND a surprise for our husbands too....win win!
